GOMIAM is a knowledge network on small-scale gold mining and social conflicts in the Amazon. We work to create a dialogue between small-scale miners, local communities, politicians,  NGOs and academic experts that are involved in small-scale gold mining.

GOMIAM organizes platform meetings to bring people together and to discuss local and regional issues. On Facebook we discuss the latest issues on the theme. Feel free to keep us posted on what is happening in your region!

GOMIAM’s specific expertise on social conflict in small-scale gold mining is based on academic fieldwork throughout the entire Amazon. We share our knowledge by spreading policy briefs and publications, and by participating in conferences.
